Who Am I?
09:25
Who really am I? In every social situation I can be perceived as different. In different scenarios different personalities are needed! So am I fake, or just holding back my personality to strangers?
I’m the girl thats sociable with her friends, constantly laughing and messing around.
I’m the girl thats quiet in lectures, working and studying hard.
I’m the girl who gets anxious in the gym with the thought of being watched.
I’m the girl that acts as if everything is ok, just to go back home to cry.
I’m the girl who’s caring with her family, wanting them to be happy and ok.
I’m the girl that’s selfish and only aims for my best.
So which one is the real me? Does anyone actually see the real me?
Who do we portray our self's as. We can be anyone we want to be, whenever we want to be. We don't have to fit in or be as people expected us to be.

True that!! you don't have to be fake to fit in
ReplyDeleteGreat post!!
ReplyDeleteI always used to wonder this myself. How we can have so many different personalities in different situations. But of course, that doesn't mean we are fake. Thank you for posting what I'd been feeling for a long time.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! Glad you liked it !
ReplyDeleteWe all act different we aren't never going to be the same with our parents as we will with our friends!!
ReplyDeleteIt's my pleasure!!
ReplyDeleteLoved your post!
ReplyDeleteI feel I'm always different in front of different people! Awesome post!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, glad you enjoyed this as its different to my usual posts!
ReplyDeleteI actually relate to this so much! I always wonder this about myself as well, as I can change depending on the situation. I never think of myself as someone fake but I do wonder which version is the most authentic "me". Is it who I am with my family, is it who I am with my friends, is it who I am when i'm on my own, I'm not sure. Loved this post. ReplyDeleteThank you very much. I totally agree, I'm struggling to find the real me!
ReplyDeleteYou are the sum total of your different "personalities" :) and no, reacting differently on varying situations doesn't make a person fake. I don't think that we can pick "one specific me". Even in our authenticity, a person cannot just be one mood or feeling or adjective for that matter. I can't just be a happy person because I have sad days but that doesn't make me a sad person either. On days I am less assertive doesn't necessarily make me a timid person. Putting together all that make up my whole makes me unique... and you and all. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for you reply, so interesting to see what you thought, I completely agree that putting them all together makes us who we are and makes us unique.
ReplyDeleteYears of doubts and questioning... 😄 Happy to connect and interact. 💖
ReplyDeleteI love this message - it's one I talk about a lot as well. We are not the sum total of our behavior or even our thoughts - we are actually the Divine Observer behind the conscious "me." :-) Cheers, Rajni
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this :)
ReplyDeleteAh the eternal question...it is the hardest one to answer... the answer is the hardest one to accept😪
